Gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) play a significant role in science and technology because of their unique size, shape, properties broad range potential applications. This review focuses on the various approaches employed for synthesis, modification functionalization nanostructured Au. The catalytic applications enhancement upon Au nanostructures have also been discussed detail. present analysis offers brief summaries major nanomaterials synthetic procedures, such as hydrothermal, solvothermal, sol-gel, direct oxidation, chemical vapor deposition, sonochemical electrochemical microwave laser pyrolysis. Among strategies used improving performance Au, produced better results. Therefore, methods outcomes summarized this review.
